Lenis Lipo Disolve

Lenis Lipo Disolve

Lenis Lipo Disolve (click for pdf version) is a treatment consisting of needle free microinjections that dissolve excess fat deposits, remove fibrotic, hardened connective tissue, create new collagen, and improve lymphatic drainage and blood flow to the area. This procedure is intended for body sculpting of those stubborn body parts that are non-responsive to diet and exercise alone.

What is Lenis LipoDissolve?

LenisLipo is an innovative alternative to surgical liposuction that involves a series of micro-injections that dissolve unwanted fat pockets. The injection consists of a mixture of Phosphatidylcholine (PPC) and Deoxycholate (DC), which are substances that occur naturally in the human body. Due to the natural nature of these ingredients they will not show up on a drug test and are designed to permanently remove stubborn anywhere there is yellow adipose tissue without the need for surgical intervention. Down time is minimal and the treatment has been uses for over 25 years.

How does LipoDissolve work?

Phosphatidylcholine/Deoxycholate (PCDC) micro-injections are delivered into the targeted treatment areas. The mechanism of action of the mixture is similar to that of bile, wherein DC (bile Salt) breaks down the ingested fat cells, and PC assists the digestion and drainage of the released fat, but mostly protects the neighboring mucosa from the corrosive action of the DC. The hardened fat cells break down within a few weeks and are eliminated via the body’s natural processes. The adipose ring and inter-cellular fat is devolved and execrated out of the body through the natural elimination process.

What is PC/DC?

Phosphatidylcholine (PC) is a naturally occurring substance within the body that comprises up to 60% of cell membranes, facilitates cell membrane transport, and is a component in bile that is responsible for emulsifying the fat we consume in our diet. The PC used in most injectable fat reducing formulas is derived from the soybean lecithin. Deoxycholate, present in the body as sodium Deoxycholate, is a bile salt that functions to make PC soluble in water. It acts as a detergent and also aids in the breakdown of fat cell and emulsifies the fat within cell.

How does it work?

First, the injected solution disrupts the fat cell membrane. This causes the cells to burst, releasing their enzymes and fatty content. Second, an inflammatory response ensures, allowing the debris to be “cleaned up” by the macrophages that have migrated to the area. This inflammation is responsible for the redness and soreness but also allows for tissue retraction. The more inflammation the better the outcome. Lastly, new collagen is deposited in the area, causing skin retraction with denser, firmer skin character. The fat and cellular debris that are removed are collected as waste and excreted through the body’s normal metabolic pathways, through the urinary and bowel systems. The adipose ring and inter-cellular fat is devolved and execrated out of the body through the natural elimination process.

What body parts can be treated and how often?

Areas that can be treated with LenisLipo include the inner and outer thighs, buttocks, and love handles, back of the arms, the upper and lower abdomen, the chin and jowls, knees, upper and lower back are most popular. However, anywhere there is yellow adipose tissue can be injected. It can also be used for various conditions such as localized fat reduction, skin-retraction, stretch marks, cellulite, varicose veins, fatty breast reduction in men and cellulite. This improves skin tone and elasticity, and increases collagen production where injected. Treatment protocols are designed for patients to return in 4 weeks and require 4-6 treatments to achieve the results they desire.

Are the treatments painful? What are the side effects?

There may be some localized discomfort upon injection, but numbing cream can be used. Some minor burning sensation immediately following the treatment for about 20 minutes. Swelling will occur in the treated area, and soreness and inflammation may be experienced for several days after treatment. It is important to bear in mind that these inflammatory side effects produce a tighter and smoother overlying skin, which is highly desirable. Some localized bruising and headaches are common and diarrhea have also been reported, but are extremely rare. Your fat area becoming firm is a sign the treatment is working. As your body breaks down the treated fat cells, they are excreted through the body’s normal metabolic process.

Any activity restrictions after treatment?

For the first 48 hours after some treatment suggestions will include, no vigorous physical activity or exercise is not recommended, no hot tubs, saunas or Jacuzzis. After that time period, playing sports or exercising is acceptable. No NSAID’s because we want the inflammation response. No lotions, creams, body sprays or jelly until injection site heal.

When will I see results?

On the average, patients begin to see noticeable improvement after 2-4 sessions. While many experience results after the first treatment, we cannot guarantee this. For the first several weeks while the body’s inflammatory response is prominent, you may feel “bloated” in the treated area. This is expected and only temporary. Once the body begins metabolizing the fat, contour improvement occurs.

Is it permanent?

The average person is born with a certain number of fat cells and after adolescence does not develop more. LenisLipo will permanently remove fat cells in the area of treatment, leaving only a thin layer of cells, unless a large amount of weight is gained, the fat dissolving formula actually destroys fat cells. If a person gains weight, the treated area can become larger because some fat cells still remain and the body can produce more in that area to accommodate the new weight gain. However, the treated area should remain proportionate with the surrounding areas.

Does it result in weight loss?

No. LenisLipo as well as any LipoDissolve products helps dissolve stubborn fat deposits and is part of a body sculpting process designed to be a counter point to your already existing diet and exercise program. It does help you lose some weight, but sculpts away stubborn fat pockets which result in a smoother more contoured you.

How many procedures have been performed?

More than 50,000 procedures have been done internationally since the mid-90s. The satisfaction rate was slightly better among those receiving higher injection volume, 90% in practice. Estimated 1 to 3 inches per treatment with an average of 1.1 inch. The fat reduction was generally associated with some degree of skin tightening resulting in a smoother appearance.

How does it differ from Liposuction?

Both procedures permanently remove unwanted fat. However, LenisLipo is a non-invasive procedure with first in class technology; unlike liposuction, there is no anesthesia, no surgery, and no downtime. Patients can return to work earlier with a better outcome.

Who is a good candidate?

The best candidates for LenisLipo have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 and/or unwanted deposits of fat that have responded poorly to diet and exercise. Patients that are allergic to soy are advised to refrain from being injected because the main solute is soy.
